About Solana Staking Reference
Our mission, team, and approach to Solana staking education. Registered in the United Kingdom since 2021.
Our mission
Solana Staking Reference exists to make network participation understandable. Validators, delegation, inflation rewards, and epoch mechanics are documented extensively for developers — but everyday holders who simply want to delegate responsibly often struggle to find explanations written for them.
We fill that gap with reference sessions, written guides, and a growing glossary of terms used across the Solana staking community.
Official business details
Registered name: Solana Staking Reference Ltd Established: 2021 Registered office: Office 7, 38 Test Lane, London ZZ1 1AC, United Kingdom
The company was founded by Margaret Okonkwo and David Chen after both spent several years following Solana’s validator set as independent researchers. Margaret previously worked in academic library sciences; David came from financial data analysis. They noticed that staking documentation assumed technical familiarity and set out to build a reference library structured the way a research librarian would organise source material.
How we work
We treat every enquiry as a reference question. When you book a session, we identify the specific concepts you need, pull relevant on-chain data in real time, and explain what you are looking at. We do not sell staking products, operate validators, or accept delegation on your behalf.
Our approach values accuracy over speed. If a question requires checking an epoch boundary or a commission change on-chain, we do that during the session rather than guessing from memory.
Our team
Margaret Okonkwo — Lead Reference Librarian. Margaret designs our session structure and maintains the glossary. She has delivered over 200 reference sessions since 2022.
David Chen — Research Analyst. David prepares validator comparison briefs and writes journal articles on reward mechanics. He monitors epoch-level inflation data and commission trends across the active validator set.
Helen Marsh — Client Coordinator. Helen handles scheduling, follow-up notes, and written enquiry routing. She is usually your first point of contact after you submit the form.
Values
- Clarity over jargon. We explain terms when we use them and point you to the glossary when a concept needs more depth.
- Evidence over opinion. Our sessions use live on-chain data, not slides with outdated screenshots.
- Independence. We are not affiliated with any validator, wallet provider, or the Solana Foundation. Our only revenue comes from reference session fees.
Community
We occasionally host small group reading sessions at our London office for up to six participants. These are announced on the journal page when scheduled. There is no mailing list — check back or contact us to express interest.
